Start with your actual phone

Measure your phone with its case on. A stand that fits the bare phone may not accept a thicker case, a grip or a raised camera section. Look for the supported device size and weight in the exact listing; the stand’s outside dimensions alone do not establish compatibility. If the seller provides no fit information, ask before ordering.

Match the stand to the task

For video calls, think about where the camera sits relative to your face. For reading, consider whether the screen can be tilted without moving the base. A fixed decorative stand and an adjustable stand solve different problems. Check whether portrait and landscape positions are supported, and whether you can tap the screen without it tipping. These are questions to verify, not promises about an untested product.

Leave room for cables and your desk

A lower cradle can block a charging port or bend the cable sharply. Check the opening and cable route in the exact variant. Measure the space beside your keyboard and include room for the cable. A stand designed for a desk should not be assumed safe for a moving car; choose a mounting solution intended for that use.

A short checklist before paying

Record the exact variant, included parts, stated material, supported size, return terms and delivered total. Save the relevant listing details for comparison. If one critical measurement is missing, a cheaper price does not fix the uncertainty. Choose based on your use case rather than a decorative shape or an unsupported “universal” claim.
